Tap Intake Tool from the Dashboard Quick Log or Field Tools menu, or go directly to the URL. Fill it in while you're on the call — it takes about 2 minutes.
The form will walk you through everything. Key items:
The intake form auto-flags serious situations. If any of these appear — call Clayton before dispatch:
Tell the customer a specific time window — not "as soon as possible." Example: "We can be there between 2:00 and 3:00 PM." Never leave them without an ETA.
Tap Create Job → in the intake form. Then confirm the job record exists in Jobber with the address, customer name, and scope notes.
Say exactly: "Hi, I'm [Name] with Peach State Services and Restoration. I'm here to assess the damage and get the drying process started."
Ask the customer to walk you through what happened while you observe. Confirm which rooms are affected before you start documentation.
Before extraction or demo — determine Category and Class. This controls your PPE, drying strategy, and billing.
| Category | Source | PPE |
|---|---|---|
| CAT 1 | Clean water — supply line, sink, ice maker | Gloves + glasses |
| CAT 2 | Gray water — washer, dishwasher, sump pump | N95 + double gloves + Tyvek |
| CAT 3 | Black water — sewage, floodwater, river | P100 + full Tyvek + face shield — call Clayton |
Not sure if material needs demo? Tap Demo/Dry Decision in the Quick Log — answer the questions and it tells you exactly what to do.
Never skip extraction. The more water removed mechanically, the faster and less expensive the dry.
Open the Drying App → tap + New Job. Fill in:
These are your starting point. Every visit is measured against Day 0 — so these need to be thorough.
Walls: read at baseboard, 18", 36", 54" height — note which levels are elevated.
Floors: minimum 9 readings in a 3×3 grid per room, plus perimeter reads at every wall junction.
Ceilings: scan with FLIR for thermal anomalies. If warm spots found, probe with Protimeter to confirm.
Cabinets: toe kicks, bottom shelf, side panels near wet walls.
Log all readings in the Moisture Content Record tab of the Drying App. The app will color-code each reading green/amber/red against the dry standard automatically.
In the Daily Humidity Record tab — enter for every room:
| Measurement | Target (Drying Active) |
|---|---|
| Relative Humidity | 40–50% RH |
| Temperature | 70–80°F |
| GPP | Below outdoor GPP |
For every reading point — hold the Protimeter in frame so the reading is visible in the photo. Switch to the Job Photos section and upload under category Moisture Readings.
Photograph equipment from all four corners of each room. Upload to Equipment Placement in Job Photos.
In the Drying App → tap the Export tab → select today's day number → tap Send to Zapier.
This automatically logs your readings to the master Google Sheet and posts a note to the Jobber job timeline. Do this at the end of every site visit.
Dashboard → Photos → select the job → choose a category from the dropdown → tap Tap to take photo or upload.
On mobile this opens your camera directly. You can also select multiple photos from your gallery. Photos are compressed automatically before saving — no need to resize anything.
| Category | When | Minimum |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-Mitigation | Before any work | 8–12 (all 4 corners per room) |
| Moisture Readings | Day 0 + every visit | 1 per read point |
| Equipment | After setup | 4 per room (all corners) |
| Demo Pre | Before removing material | Full coverage |
| Demo Post | Immediately after | Cavity exposed |
| Daily Check | Each visit | 4 per room |
| Final | Day of equipment pull | Full re-documentation |
For every material removed (drywall, carpet, cabinets, etc.) you need two photos:
Demo Pre — before removal, showing the wet material clearly
Demo Post — immediately after removal, showing the cavity or subfloor exposed
Dashboard → Tech → Job Close-Out tab has the monitoring checklist built in. Or work from this list:
Open Drying App → find the job → Daily Humidity Record tab → add a new day's readings. Enter temp, RH, GPP for each room.
Switch to Moisture Content Record → log all pin meter readings at the same points as Day 0. The app will show you if you're progressing or plateauing.
If moisture content is not meaningfully lower than Day 0 after 72 hours, the drying system is not working as needed. This requires a call to Clayton and likely a call to the adjuster. Document everything in Jobber.
Do not wait for the customer to notice. Call Clayton proactively.
Drying App → Export tab → select today's day number → tap Send to Zapier. This logs everything to the master sheet and Jobber automatically.
| Material | Dry Standard |
|---|---|
| Drywall | ≤17% MC (pin meter) |
| Subfloor (OSB) | ≤16% MC |
| Hardwood flooring | ≤12% MC · no cupping remaining |
| Concrete slab | No condensation on plastic sheet test |
| Ambient air | RH ≤ 50% at 70°F |
Walk every affected area with the homeowner. Explain in plain language:
— What was dried and is now at dry standard
— What materials were removed and why
— What still needs rebuild (and that PSS can connect them with a contractor)
